Some serious issues with my paint guy:
So as you could see from my previous post, I got the hood back from the painter. I have to say he really did a poor job. You could tell that he was in a hurry and didn't do a quality job. He also masked off the paint too quick and when I removed the tape from under the hood, all the paint over the rivets came off and left strips of bare hood underneath. He also didn't apply that many coats of paint on the hood (heck...maybe just one). Luckily I have paint left and I will touch up. Check out these pics:

But that isn't the worst of it. I was taking my dad out for a dry run and I was checking out the car when we got back. To my horror, the front passenger wheel was about to fall off! Who would send out a car without checking if something as serious as the wheel being affixed correctly? If you take something off that important, put it back on correctly or tell the owner that you need help. Again, this project was wrecked and could have put me and my family in jeapardy. Not only will I be going over the car with a fine tooth comb but I am going to hire a race prep company to give it a once over as well.
Needless to say, I am not thrilled with my paint experience. But hey, I guess my only recourse is not to recommend this shop. It sad, because Rick is a good person but you have to manage your capacity and quality better.
