Body Install:
Now that all the mechanicals were sorted thanks to G&S Autoworks, it was time to prep for the install....well....probably the first install of the body as I am sure there might be a couple of times it is off.
I started by installing the racing shoulder harnesses and placing bulb seal in the trunk area and weather striping in key places where the body would rest. Once that was complete, I needed some help. Luckily, my neigbors Glenn (the guy built like a brick wall) and Roy (the Italian Gangster/Baseball player from th e40's lookin guy) were a quick phone call away. They came over and in about 15 mins, the body was on the car. Once on, I had a ceramonial deconstruction of my body buck....the thing that holds the cobra body...not my beer gut. Once that was complete, I went about installing the quick jacks, side mounting nuts, trunk, doors and hood. Keep in mind, this is a rough install. Once this bad boy goes to paint, everything will come off and panel gaps will be worked. Hurricane was smart enough to add extra material to trunk, hood, doors, etc to allow for panel fitment. I still have a ton of work to go before it is ready for paint. I have had some fun driving it down the driveway and turing it around in the street. This car has such a deep exhaust note that some neighbors came outside to see what was going on! Anyway, enjoy the pics and thanks to Eva of taking great action shots of the install. Pictures in reverse order!!
