Lights, Camera, Action: Wiring up the light recepticals and smoke testing the electrical system
I want to make it easy for me to remove the light recepticals and/or the body by installing weather pak connectors from Painless Wiring. These connectors are great. You don't have to worry about your connections getting wet and they are easy to install, easy to connect/disconnect. I highly recommend them! As you will see below, I have wired up the blinkers, headlight buckets and rear tail lights.

I conducted my smoke test on the wiring. Everything works great. Fan, wipers, headlights, front parking lights, front blinkers, horn, inttrument lights, rear blinkers, starter...except.....I have the weirdest thing going on with my rear lights...

First, my rear brake lights do not come on when the headlights are on. I also have NO parking lights in the rear either but the blinkers work just fine. There are not many rear wires so I am sure I can figure it out.

I am ready to start the motor for the first time. Wish me luck.
