FUEL CELL AND BATTERY CABLE INSTALL:
First off, it has been CRAZY hot here in the NE. My garage has been more of an oven than a workspace. It sometimes gets up to 100 degrees! Needless to say, I haven't been spending much time in the garage out of fear of heat stroke. I did manage to finish the install of the fuel tank and battery cables. Both were pretty basic.
The fuel tank came with two steel straps. You have to reshape these straps for the installation by inverting them from their stock form. It is smart to do this install with two people but I it was just me in the garage for this step. Anyway, I would install the strap, look for snugness, go back to bench, modify, go back, test fit again, go back to the bench, etc. Once I had one strap fitting perfectly, I could use it as a template for the other strap. This technique worked great and the install went off without a hitch. I also connected the fuel tank to the fuel line
The battery cables were really easy to install. The battery for this car is located in the trunk. This requires you to run the cables from the rear of the car up to the engine compartment. You want to keep the ground wire (BLACK) next to the frame rail. If the wire gets rubbed through, the ground is touching the frame, not the hot wire which could cause issues. Pics below.
