Steering Rack Install: The steering rack is a mustang II rack an pinion which is really nice. The install was pretty much uneventful until I got ahead of myself in one step. I was mocking up the tie rod ends to fit into the spindle mounts. These rod ends actually self press into the spindle and you can't get them out unless you have a pickle fork or a hand press. I had to pick up a hand press from sears to get it to come out. Good thing too as I hadn't centered the steering rack. I am going to wait to intall the tie rods into the spindle as right now they look a bit too long (which means I will need to trim them). However, with the weight of the engine, they might be just right.
