Paint: Weeks 7-10
The expectations that have been set thus far were that the car was supposed to be done by now. But I knew better when signing on. Whatever the lead-time you are given by your painter; double or in some cases triple it. Anyway, on with the report...
As you can see in the photos, not too much has been done since the last post. The body was off the car and now it is back on. Rick is now working on panel gaps with the hood, doors and boot. I have tried to take some pictures to show what he is working with; no easy task. Rick asked me to bring out the bumper mounts to get the position of the body dead on. This way, if he needs to raise/lower any parts of the body or panels, he can. Then he will paint the car once everything is on and aligned properly.
